Preparation Of Assignments

  1. After selecting the assignment you want to prepare click on "File" and scroll down to "Mail Document..." Click on it. The "Mail To:" window will appear.
  2. Click on the "View" and check to see if "Attachment" is checked. If there is a check mark, scroll down to it and click on it. This will take the check mark off.
  3. Click on "File" in the mail window and scroll down to "Include Original Text." This instructs the browser to give you a visual and editable version of the assignment in the mail window.
  4. Click down in the assignment and begin editing the existing lesson. At the top of the assignment type the following: your name, address, course name and number, enrollment number, assignment number, and the date.
  5. For the fill-in-the-blank section please delete the blank lines and substitute the word or phrase needed to complete the sentence. Please put your answer or phrase in parenthesis. It will help the instructor locate the answer quickly.
  6. For the short answer/essay section please type in your submitted answer.
  7. Insert your instructor's e-mail address in the "Mail To" data line and a copy to the Independent Study Program (istudy@uky.edu) in the "Cc" data line. You can edit the "subject" line if you wish to list the assignment.
  8. When you have finished, click on the "Send" button
