PSY 331 THE PSYCHOLOGY OF ADJUSTMENT (3)

Welcome to the online version of Psychology 331, offered through the Independent Study Program at the University of Kentucky. Psychology 331 is a course concerned with adjustment to life's changes and challenges. The individual's psychological adjustment to society is analyzed from a mental health perspective. The course provides a general orientation to the normal-abnormal continuum of behavior, including individual, social, and cultural determinants of behavior. There is a prerequisite of Psy 100 for University of Kentucky students or a basic level course from the non-UK students.

The course is divided into 21 assignments. 16 lessons are answered online with immediate feedback. The other 5 lessons are written, integrative assignments and are sent via e-mail to the instructor and the Independent Study Office. The only part of the course which cannot be done on a computer is the final exam. That must be taken at a monitored and approved testing site, usually at a college or university.

The instructor for this course is Mary Beth Diener. If you have questions concerning the course or any of its assignments, feel free to contact her at mdiener@uky.edu.
